elf Cosmetics Review - Concealers

I used to use the Australis Full on Foundation stick for a concealer and base which was amazing, but I read the ingredients recently and it contains beeswax, so as I'm trying to be completely ethical I decided to look for something else as an alternative.

I have quite a few elf products;
a. They are all Vegan
b. They are so affordable
So my next thought was to try some concealers...

Under Eye Concealer and Highlighter - Light/Glow
$8
Re-purchase
I first purchased the Under Eye Concealer and Highlighter which I immediately fell in love with. The applicator is super easy to use and blend. I'm not sure if I was more impressed with the concealer or the highlighter. The highlighter is amazing for an eye primer and makes every colour pop like crazy!

Maximum Coverage Concealer - Sand
$8
Re-purchase
Because I was using the concealer in the duo every day I wanted to buy more before I ran out so I ventured onto the Maximum Coverage Concealer which is essentially the concealer in the duo to me, so much love. I do prefer the applicator in the duo but the Maximum Coverage Concealer works fine using brushes to apply.

All Over Cover Stick - Light /Beige
$3
Re-purchase
The All Over Cover Stick was the best thing in comparison to the Australis Full on Foundation stick. It is so eaasy to use, and I basically just smear it everywhere and then blend it in with a flat foundation brush. It does not last all day by itself but when combined with other products it works very well on my skin. Whenever I need to get ready quickly, this is my go to product as it is so quick and simple to use. It is the perfect size to carry around with me as well.
Smells amazing. Obsessed.

Concealer - Ivory
$4
wouldn't buy again
The only one I was dissapointed in was the concealer stick, but I think that is just personal preference I much rather a liquid concealer than a cream or stick, just for ease of application. Also the problem of matching to my skin tone was difficult as I bought these items pre-packaged from Kmart and for obvious reasons you can't return makeup. So it is a little dark for me but still use-able.

Other goodies...
elf Eye Refresh
$8
re-purchase
My other item which I am currently obsessed with is the elf Eye Refresh. Which is actually the best thing ever if you are not a morning person or need a quick pick me up during the day. It does not affect the look of your makeup but is an instant up lift for those dry tired eyes. I keep this one in my bag all the time.
It is a roll on applicator and has a cool metallic feel. Very difficult to photograph cause it's metallic packaging but that makes it easier to find in a handbag. wew!

elf Radiance Enhancer - Spotlight
$8
re-purchase
And last but not least the elf Radiance Enhancer. I like to experiment with new products and teach myself new techniques. I haven't really had any experience with contouring or highlighting so this product was a good starter for me. It has a slight pink velvety look and is great around the eye area. But is super shiny so you only need a tiny bit. Because of the large applicator I tend to use a different brush or even a finger to blend it in.
The bottom is a twist applicator and the product comes out between the soft bristles at the top end of the brush.

Essence Cosmetics Review

I've never tried this brand before but was curious as everything was so cheap. I thought I may as well try it out. The display looks quite young so I wasn't too sure how the products were going to be. I'm definitely happy I gave it a go.

Price: $3.50
Not a re purchase
This coverstick wasn't my best purchase, compared to my usual Rimmel concealer this one is very dry and hard to blend. It doesn't last long and creases.
See here from Priceline

Price: $2.49
Colour: 17 tu-tu-turquoise
REPURCHASE
I love love love this, possibly one of the best eyeliners I have ever purchased, I went and got the black also. The colour is super vibrant, really smooth, doesn't smudge and lasts all day
See here on the Essence website

Price: $4.25
REPURCHASE
This is one of my favourite mascaras, definitely definitely waterproof, gives great volume and lasts well. It does thin throughout the day however, and cannot be reapplied smoothly. Still love it.
See here from Priceline

Studio nails, ultra strong nail hardener
Price: $1.75
Repurchase
This polish dries super quick and has an instant effect, good for when you're in a bit of a rush. Its not as nourishing as the XXL thickener, but I would still recommend it.
See here from Priceline

Studio nails, XXL nail thickener
Price: $1.47
Repurchase
I cannot believe that other products cost so ridiculously much, at only $1.47 you could buy 10 of these for the price of one nail hardener. This one is so great, its kind of like a gel, a instant nail thickener without going flakey, I use it as a base coat under all of my nail colours. AMAZE

Laurelle Perfumes Review

I'm sure you have seen those people who hang out in the middle of shopping center's and try to sell you things around Christmas time right? Well I got sucked in. I got three perfumes, a body wash and two male scents for $70, which is a pretty good reason to get sucked in! I've never heard of this brand before which is apparently British, the salesperson told me that they were re-imaging and doing this deal to get their company more well-known.

Laurelle - City Girl, New York
I love love love this fragrance, I've been looking for Hillary Duff - With Love for ages and couldn't find it anywhere, I kept being told it was out of stock, or not in production anymore. City Girl reminds me of With Love, a sort of coconut smell, subtle but still sweet, now my go to everyday scent.

Laurelle - If Only
If Only is a more mature scent, but still very sweet, I often go to this one on a night out or more formal occasion.

Laurelle - Closer
Closer is a sweet floral fragrance, less so than If Only (above), a lighter everyday fragrance.

All in all I'm happy I purchased these products. I don't have many perfumes so now I have a good variety to choose from. Check out their website http://www.laurelle.co.uk

Pros;
- No Animal Testing
- Great scents
- Inexpensive
- Cute packaging

Cons;
- Need to spray a fair amount to have all day coverage
- Limited stockists

What's your go to everyday fragrance?
Have you heard of this brand before?

Glitter Flatforms

Can you sense my glitter obsession?

Go Jane Glitter Canvas Flatform - $15.95

Oh the flatform, I love this idea, everyday height. I stumbled upon this website called Go Jane a while ago and fell in love with these Glitter Canvas flatforms! Although they were only $15.95, Shipping to Australia was a standard rate of $30! After lusting for months and with the help of the lovely ladies at What Should I Wear, I finally decided to purchase them, unfortunately the pink colour was out of stock so I decided to go for the Camel.

Size charts confused me.. so when they arrived, I was devastated to find they were a size too big! I'll still be able to get away with them as they have a strap and are closed toe, although I have a feeling they make me look like I have clown feet... Oh Dear!

I was a little worried about stability after reading the reviews, and although it is a different experience to walking in your usual wedge, I felt they were quite comfortable. The ankle strap may give me some trouble with blisters but so far so good!
p.s Amazing quality

There is a faint floral design on the material

Purchase them here! But beware, they only have 6.5, 7, and 7.5. If anyones after an 8... I'd be happy to swap for a 7.5, haha!
Next purchase... These babies

Nail Stickers

Sally Hansen - Salon Effects Nail stickers

I love having painted nails but always give up after three attempts of putting the polish on, whether it be sloppy application, ruining the nail when trying to clean it up or accidently touching something whilst they were still that tiny bit wet... 3 hours later and my nails look the same as when I started... Bare, Damn!

Helloooo nail stickers! These have been around for quite a while, but I had not gotten around to actually giving them a go, my mum bought these for me last week! I was in Queensland for a week, and considering I was at theme parks and water parks, they lasted almost a week in pretty good condition!

Pros;
Amazing effects
Strengthens Nails
Lasts a few days
Cleaner finish than polish
Cons;
Pricey
Tricky to apply
Difficult to remove
Awkward sizing

Application; I was extremely confused when I opened the box, after messing up the first few nails I slowly got the hang of it. The pieces are odd sizing, so for smaller stickers you can slightly stretch them to fit your nail perfectly.
You peel the two layers off the sticker - The base and the clear protection - and attempt to fit it perfectly to your nail. Slowly file off the edge with the supplied file and 'tuck' the excess under the nail, this is what made my nails super strong and helped them last longer! Its very hard to explain the method, but you get a diagram with instructions in your little box, so hopefully you will be better at it than me!

The Ankle Strap Sandal

These are everywhere! I've never been much of a fan of heels without platforms, I'm sure you've seen this becoming a huge trend and quite honestly they have grown on me. So head on over to good old wholesale-dress.net for a platform version. I bought quite a few things; a cardi, necklace, dress (no, a top) and these sandals. I ordered them in a yellow/orange colour but got them in white. But I am very happy with the colour now, these are so cute!

Available here, $12.32
or Blue here

But the straps are so weird!

Outfit;

Luxxx Mustard Lace Dress
Vintage Denim Jacket
Wholesale-dress.net Sandals

Let me know if you prefer the larger photo sizes :)

Wholesale-dress.net Haul/Review Video

I've done a bit of hunting on the internet and I could only find negative or 'so-so' reviews on wholesale-dress.net, as I've had a really good experience with this site I thought I would post a haul/review and some tips for all of those still unsure on whether or not to try anything from this company. I thought it would be a good idea to show what I have purchased rather than just talk the whole video :)

Sorry for the terrible sound quality and lighting... and the overuse of the word cute...

Be careful with out of stock items as they will not refund your purchase, but give you a 'store credit' which is annoying. BOO!
Sorry if items mentioned are out of stock. After editing I checked back on the site and they had recently changed their layout, however it is much easier to navigate through!
I'm very busy with school but I will post some pics here of the image on the website and the item I recieved hopefully by the end of the week :)

Check it out here
Enjoy some snapshots :)
