Fashion Exhibition

On Tuesday night, I was invited to attend a Fashion VIP Exhibition with my friend Yasmine (littlemissyasmine). The work was astounding, the eye for detail and embellishments were so unique. We probably walked around the exhibition at least 3 times whilst trying to take in all the work! In the end I think Yasmine and I had a more exciting and definitely more amusing time trying to take our photos, on a phone, considering the camera was not working! So apologies for the blurriness, we had a hard time holding the phone straight!

I absolutely love these shoes, the little gems are so cute and paired with the beige tone it isn’t too overwhelming I’m glad I finally got somewhere to wear them out, but boy they hurt!

I modified the blazer as originally it looked like a denim jacket that was much too big for me, but the pattern was to die for so I bought it anyway. I pinned the collar to the lining, tucked in the front pockets and added two side belt loops so I could cinch in the waist with a sash, rolling up the sleeves added that final touch!

This is Me

Hello Internet. Let me introduce myself. My name is Mikaela, I am 17 and from Melbourne. I just finished my year 12 studies and the idea of making a blog where I can share my thoughts, DIY projects and outfits is one of the things that has kept me going! I am moving houses and there are lots of changes happening over this big break, so I wanted something that would allow me to document these big changes in a fun way. I have studied Textiles and love making my own clothes and accessories.

I must say I find it difficult to write about myself so hopefully this will improve!

Let this be a place where I can share my thoughts on the latest fashions - potentially offer cheaper versions, and explore new ideas!

Welcome to The Fashion Lookout.
